Director of Engineering Services

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for the City’s Internal Engineering Division
• Manage capital planning, municipal infrastructure design and delivery, asset management, and transportation engineering
• Develop and implement engineering strategies and programs to support Council priorities and long-term strategic plans
• Build strong relationships with Council, local First Nations, external agencies, and the community
• Ensure sustainable infrastructure development, regulatory compliance, and service excellence

Requirements

• University degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers & Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC)
• Minimum of eight years progressive leadership experience in municipal engineering or public sector
• Minimum of five years experience in a senior leadership role overseeing engineering or infrastructure
• Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Local government administrative training
