Director of Engineering, Logistics

Responsibilities

• Define the AI and platform vision by driving engineering strategy and transitioning algorithmic solutions into a unified AI/Optimization platform
• Architect real-time decision engines to solve complex combinatorial problems like VRP, assignment, and pricing at scale
• Build production-grade machine learning systems with robust feature stores and low-latency serving infrastructure
• Scale high-throughput distributed systems to handle millions of concurrent requests
• Partner with Business, Product, and Data Science teams to translate marketplace objectives into technical roadmaps
• Champion engineering excellence by mentoring high-growth leaders and attracting top talent in Distributed Systems and Applied AI

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent
• 12+ years of software engineering experience
• 7+ years of experience leading engineering managers and multiple teams
• Deep conviction in the role of AI, foundation models, and world model approaches in logistics
• Proven track record of scaling high-performing engineering organizations through hypergrowth
• Strategic mindset for defining multi-quarter roadmaps and high-stakes architectural decisions
• Ability to operate at the intersection of engineering, product, and business
