Director of Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture strategy and engineering standards across backend, frontend, mobile, and QA disciplines
• Build, develop, and scale high-performing engineering teams
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices including secure coding and testing frameworks
• Partner with Product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Collaborate with the Infrastructure Manager to implement DevOps and SRE practices
• Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with SAMA regulations and financial services security standards
• Oversee comprehensive QA strategies including automated, performance, and security testing
• Manage technology vendor relationships and engineering infrastructure costs
• Implement engineering metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• 12+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing teams of 15+ engineers
• Mandatory experience in fintech, financial services, or payment systems
• Expertise in microservices architecture, cloud-native development, and distributed systems
• Deep understanding of regulatory compliance including SAMA and PCI DSS
• Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code
• Proficiency in C#/.NET and Python preferred
