Blitzy is a Cambridge, MA based AI software development platform on a mission to revolutionize the software development life cycle by autonomously building custom software. We are transforming how enterprises build software using an agentic platform that can autonomously execute a significant portion of software development work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale engineering teams responsible for critical production systems
• Own engineering execution across backend platform, infrastructure, and AI product surface
• Directly manage and develop Principal and Senior Engineers
• Plan engineering roadmaps, sprint execution, and delivery forecasting
• Drive hiring, onboarding, and leveling decisions for the engineering organization
• Maintain engineering culture, including code review standards and incident response
• Ensure operational reliability, uptime, and SLA adherence

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering management experience managing senior or principal engineers
• Prior experience as a hands-on engineer with deep backend expertise
• Proven track record of shipping complex software products at scale
• Experience leading teams building cloud-native, distributed systems
• Proficiency in Python, microservices, and REST/gRPC APIs
• Experience with Cloud & Infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure), Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Experience with PostgreSQL, NoSQL, and familiarity with LLM-powered product pipelines
• Experience hiring and developing engineers in high-growth startup environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading delivery of platform or infrastructure modernization initiatives
• Direct experience leading engineering in an AI-native or LLM-powered product company
• Experience scaling engineering teams from early stage to enterprise-grade
• Ability to use data and instrumentation to diagnose delivery problems
