Director of Engagement

Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and evaluate Hillel's overall vision and strategy for engaging Jewish students on campus
• Manage and analyze HEaRT (Hillel Engagement and Relationship Tracking) data to guide organizational priorities
• Serve as the primary staff lead for Schmooze, Hillel's pre-orientation program
• Oversee FYSH (First-Year Students of Hillel) and related peer ambassador initiatives
• Manage Birthright Israel recruitment, logistics, and itinerary development
• Lead Hillel's Alternative Break program, including curriculum and recruitment
• Supervise the Engagement Associate and student Engagement Interns
• Serve as an experiential Jewish educator through one-on-one relationships and programming

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional work experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in supervision preferred
• Strong communication skills across text, email, phone, and in-person
• Commitment to using data to inform strategy
• Ability to hold space for diverse perspectives and a pluralistic mindset

Benefits

• Salary range of $55,000-$65,000
• 22 days of PTO, 11 sick days, 8 federal holidays, and up to 13 paid Jewish holidays
