About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee workplace investigations, performance management, corrective action, and employee separations
- Partner with school leaders and legal counsel to ensure compliance with employment law and organizational policies
- Provide coaching and consultation to leaders to strengthen leadership capacity and adult team health
- Design and deliver professional development for school leaders and network managers
- Lead the interactive process for ADA accommodation requests and manage workers' compensation
- Develop communication materials including policies, data presentations, and formal correspondence
- Conduct exit interviews and annual People Team check-ins
- Analyze data to propose short-term and long-term strategic interventions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in human resources with a focus on employee relations and compliance
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Willingness to travel locally to various school locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- SHRM or HRCI certification
