About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, contracts, and probations, with a focus on automation.
- Drive continuous improvement by using AI and automation to increase efficiency, scalability, and service quality.
- Act as the primary owner for core People systems, including HiBob, ATS, and performance platforms, ensuring data integrity and system optimization.
- Manage the People team's AI tooling roadmap to identify and implement solutions that improve operational workflows.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory obligations, such as SMCR, and ensure all People processes and policies are well-documented.
- Partner closely with Finance and Payroll to maintain accurate data flows, strong operational controls, and seamless pay-related processes.
- Line-manage and develop People Coordinators, coaching them on the use of AI tools and operational excellence.
- Oversee the People service desk to ensure high-quality, timely responses to employee and manager inquiries.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in People Operations, ideally within a fast-paced scale-up environment.
- A proven track record of actively using AI tools to redesign and improve People Operations workflows.
- Strong HRIS experience, with a preference for HiBob; experience with automations and integrations is highly valued.
- Experience operating within financially regulated environments (familiarity with SMCR is a plus).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Solid understanding of UK employment law and People Operations governance best practices.
- Experience managing or coaching junior team members.
