Director of Education Abroad

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the global learning portfolio
• Manage international health, safety, and crisis response operations
• Oversee financial management and program development for education abroad
• Cultivate global partnerships and advance the institution's internationalization mission
• Ensure program quality, regulatory compliance, and traveler well-being
• Deliver training, education, and communication regarding intercultural engagement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Minimum of six years of experience in international education, global safety, or risk management
• At least three years of managerial or supervisory experience
• Proven experience in crisis management, emergency response, and risk mitigation
• Proficiency with Terra Dotta or similar software platforms
• Strong intercultural competencies and ability to work with diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree
• International experience living or working abroad (e.g., Peace Corps, NGO, or academic work)
• Proficiency in a second language
• Experience with travel tracking systems, international insurance, and safety protocols
