Director of Discovery & Innovation

Responsibilities

• Lead the innovation engine by managing a strategic 18-36 month product pipeline and near-term business discovery.
• Oversee the validation of new business opportunities through customer research and rapid AI-powered prototyping.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of Discovery PMs and designers capable of navigating high ambiguity.
• Develop compelling business cases and narratives to secure funding and stakeholder approval for uncertain bets.
• Manage the handoff of validated concepts to the Core Portfolio for execution.
• Foster a culture of rapid learning by sharing results from failed experiments openly.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product experience with a heavy focus on product discovery.
• Proven track record of leading 0→1 products or innovation teams.
• Deep expertise in customer research and user research methodologies.
• Proficiency in rapid prototyping using AI tools (e.g., Cursor, v0, Lovable, Claude Artifacts).
• Experience building business cases that secure funding for high-uncertainty projects.
• Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills to influence skeptical stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in environments with high failure rates and constant ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Startup founding experience or experience as an early employee.
• Background in venture capital or corporate innovation.
• Strategic foresight and long-term planning skills.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English.
• Experience in Telco, platform, or B2B/B2C sectors.
