About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate accommodations and related services for students with disabilities
- Identify, place, and remediate students with basic skills deficiencies
- Provide tutorial and other academic services to the student body
- Develop and oversee the center's budget
- Supervise office staff and student personnel
- Serve as a primary resource for the Fairleigh Dickinson University community
Requirements
- Five years of experience working with students with disabilities
- Three years of supervision and budget management experience at the post-secondary level
- Demonstrated knowledge of Section 504 and ADA legal issues and support services
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with FERPA regulations
- Strong computer, research, and statistical reporting skills
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff
- Availability to work non-standard hours, including some evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Higher Education Administration, or a related field
- Two years of experience in coordinating, scoring, and interpreting placement tests at the post-secondary level
- Proficiency with Ellucian Colleague, Image Now, and webpage content management software
