About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate accommodations and related services for students with disabilities
  • Identify, place, and remediate students with basic skills deficiencies
  • Provide tutorial and other academic services to the student body
  • Develop and oversee the center's budget
  • Supervise office staff and student personnel
  • Serve as a primary resource for the university community regarding disability and academic support

Requirements

  • Five years of experience working with students with disabilities
  • Three years of supervision and budget management experience at the post-secondary level
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Section 504 and ADA legal issues and support services
  • Strong computer, research, and statistical reporting skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with FERPA regulations
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, or a related field
  • Two years of experience in coordinating, scoring, and interpreting placement tests at the post-secondary level
  • Proficiency with Ellucian Colleague, Image Now, and webpage content management software
