Director of Didactic Education, Physician Assistant Program

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the didactic curriculum
• Ensure curriculum alignment with program competencies, learning outcomes, and ARC-PA standards
• Serve as course director and teach within the didactic or clinical curriculum as appropriate
• Develop, revise, and publish syllabi that comply with ARC-PA and institutional requirements
• Monitor student academic progress and oversee remediation processes for students in the didactic phase
• Participate in student recruitment, admissions, and the program's ongoing accreditation processes
• Engage in scholarly activities including research, presentations, and publications
• Maintain clinical competence through ongoing practice or continuing medical education

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of employment
• Current NCCPA certification
• Master’s degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA program
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical practice experience as a PA
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in PA education or teaching
• Demonstrated knowledge of ARC-PA accreditation standards
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
