Responsibilities

  • Implement a strategic fundraising plan to meet goals for Per Scholas Chicago
  • Research and identify new corporate, foundation, government, and individual funding sources
  • Write compelling grant proposals, letters of interest, and reports
  • Organize and attend funder meetings and site visits
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with Advisory Board members and stakeholders
  • Prepare slide decks, one-pagers, and other development collateral
  • Maintain accurate development records in Salesforce
  • Collaborate with Marketing and National Development teams on brand-building opportunities

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant fundraising experience
  • Experience managing external individual and institutional donor relationships
  • Proven ability to build and nurture substantial funder relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Google Apps
  • Ability to travel 5-10%
  • Familiarity with the Chicago and Illinois philanthropic community preferred
