Director of Development

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Executive Director to build and execute annual fundraising plans and moves-management strategies
• Lead short- and long-term development strategies, specifically scaling alumni and parent giving programs
• Manage a portfolio of donors with tailored cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation strategies
• Plan and execute regional donor cultivation events
• Supervise a Development Associate and undergraduate interns
• Research, prepare, and submit grant proposals
• Oversee donor database management and gift processing

Requirements

• 4 to 7 years of progressive experience in a development role
• Proven success in donor cultivation, solicitation, and campaign management
• Proficiency with donor management software and CRM systems
• Experience supervising or mentoring staff or volunteers
• Bachelor's degree required
• Strong project management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Jewish communal organizations, Hillel, or higher education environments
• Familiarity with the Jewish calendar and the North Carolina Jewish community
