Director of Development

Responsibilities

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing donors through regular communication and stewardship
• Cultivate new relationships with individuals, corporations, and foundations
• Maintain the museum’s internal donor and membership database
• Ensure accurate records for gifts, pledges, sponsorships, and donor communications
• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan
• Secure financial support through individual giving, corporate partnerships, and foundation grants
• Develop donor-focused materials including sponsorship proposals and fundraising appeals
• Identify and pursue grant opportunities
• Assist with fundraising events and community engagement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 3 years of nonprofit development, fundraising, or management experience preferred
• Experience managing donor databases and fundraising data systems
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
• Strong relationship-building and networking skills
• Experience executing fundraising events
