About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing donors through regular communication and stewardship
- Cultivate new relationships with individuals, corporations, and foundations
- Maintain the museum’s internal donor and membership database
- Ensure accurate records for gifts, pledges, sponsorships, and donor communications
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan
- Secure financial support through individual giving, corporate partnerships, and foundation grants
- Develop donor-focused materials including sponsorship proposals and fundraising appeals
- Identify and pursue grant opportunities
- Assist with fundraising events and community engagement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 3 years of nonprofit development, fundraising, or management experience preferred
- Experience managing donor databases and fundraising data systems
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills
- Experience executing fundraising events
