About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects, including individuals, foundations, and corporations.
- Develop and execute strategies to solicit and steward major gifts of $100,000 and above.
- Serve as a primary liaison to CUIMC related areas, specifically the Department of Medicine and other Health Sciences programs.
- Participate in prospect assessment and assignment processes.
- Prepare annual development objectives, including fundraising targets and planned cultivation activities.
- Support donor-related events and act as a liaison for advisory boards and community outreach programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience.
- At least four years of related professional experience.
- Proven experience in major gift solicitation and working within a campaign environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (including SharePoint).
- Experience using development databases and prospect management tracking systems.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by projects and events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Experience with basic prospect research.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships within an intellectually sophisticated community.
