Director of Development

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects, including individuals, foundations, and corporations.
• Develop and execute strategies to solicit and steward major gifts of $100,000 and above.
• Serve as a primary liaison to CUIMC related areas, specifically the Department of Medicine and other Health Sciences programs.
• Participate in prospect assessment and assignment processes.
• Prepare annual development objectives, including fundraising targets and planned cultivation activities.
• Support donor-related events and act as a liaison for advisory boards and community outreach programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience.
• At least four years of related professional experience.
• Proven experience in major gift solicitation and working within a campaign environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (including SharePoint).
• Experience using development databases and prospect management tracking systems.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by projects and events.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree.
• Experience with basic prospect research.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships within an intellectually sophisticated community.
