Director of Development & Alumni Relations

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Foundation, Development, and Alumni departments, including staff supervision and budget management.
• Lead the design, execution, and tracking of annual giving campaigns and fundraising solicitations.
• Oversee donor stewardship, including the accurate generation of thank-you letters, tax receipts, and recognition materials.
• Maintain the integrity of the donor database (CRM) through data entry, reporting, and segmentation.
• Coordinate the logistical planning and execution of Foundation events, such as the Annual Gala and Scholarship Night.
• Manage the production of all department communications, including social media, newsletters, and annual reports.
• Oversee scholarship distribution in partnership with Financial Aid and the Business Office to ensure donor intent is met.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in non-profit operations, fundraising, or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) certification.
• Local knowledge of communities in Northwest Ohio.
• History of involvement in civic organizations and experience working with volunteers.
