Director of Data Science

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the applied data science roadmap, including pricing, forecasting, risk, attribution, and supply allocation
• Ship models to production with tight experiment loops to quantify impact on CM5%, utilization, and CAC/LTV
• Launch Dynamic Pricing and Risk Engine models to scale responsible growth
• Develop city and model-level demand and supply forecasts to optimize fleet utilization
• Build and lead a high-performing data science team across Dubai and Cairo
• Partner with Data Engineering to strengthen MLOps, including feature stores, model registry, and monitoring
• Codify model governance, documentation, and bias/fairness checks

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in Data Science/ML, including 3+ years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of delivering pricing, forecasting, or risk models that drive measurable P&L impact
• Deep expertise in marketplace pricing, credit/risk, forecasting, or ops optimization
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, MLflow, and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS)
• Strong product mindset with the ability to translate business constraints into model objectives
• Exceptional collaboration skills to work across Product, Growth, Finance, and Ops teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the mobility, marketplace, or fintech industries
• Familiarity with BigQuery, dbt, and real-time inference
• Arabic language proficiency
