Director of Data Science and Information Technology

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute complex IT projects including system upgrades and software implementations
• Manage and mentor the IT and Data team
• Maintain reliability and security of networking infrastructure, hardware, and communication systems
• Act as expert administrator for Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel
• Oversee database operations using SQL for querying and reporting
• Research and implement emerging technologies and AI tools to enhance operational efficiency

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive IT experience with a focus on people and project management
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and PC hardware maintenance
• Expert-level proficiency in Google Workspace and Excel
• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge
• Familiarity with coding or scripting such as Python or PowerShell
• Demonstrated ability to implement AI tools to solve business challenges

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the Logistics or Transportation industry
• Familiarity with cloud environments and virtualization technologies
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards
