Director of Data Science & AI

Responsibilities

• Lead machine learning initiatives focused on user discovery, recommendation systems, and marketing technology (Martech) to drive top-of-funnel growth.
• Architect state-of-the-art recommendation models and drive AI strategy for high-efficiency growth marketing, including MMM and LTV-based acquisition models.
• Guide the design of advanced architectures for discovery, such as Two-Tower models and Transformers for session-based behavior.
• Establish frameworks using causal inference to measure the true incrementality of marketing spend and recommendation features.
• Oversee scalable MLOps to ensure efficient training and deployment of high-throughput data and feature pipelines.
• Drive the strategic adoption of agentic AI frameworks to automate complex acquisition workflows and campaign optimization.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Growth Marketing, Performance Marketing, and Product Engineering teams to align on scaling goals.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Physics.
• Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing data science and AI teams.
• Deep technical proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience working with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Expertise in managing and deploying large-scale AI solutions within cloud environments (GCP/AWS).
• Experience with data orchestration at scale using tools like PySpark or Airflow.
• Ability to translate complex AI concepts into clear business implications for senior leadership.
