Director of Data Platforms & Intelligence

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data platform strategy aligned with product, engineering, and commercial goals
• Architect scalable batch and streaming pipelines, real-time analytics, and ML enablement
• Build on GCP using BigQuery, ClickHouse, Airflow, DBT, and ML Ops
• Implement full data observability including freshness, anomalies, and schema drift
• Lead executive dashboards, KPI frameworks, forecasting, and operational metrics
• Design and own the data-as-a-product roadmap for partner and promoter intelligence
• Build data foundations for AI/ML models including recommendation systems and conversational UX
• Define policies for data access, retention, and protection ensuring PDPL and GDPR compliance
• Lead Data Engineering, Analytics, BI, and Data Operations teams

Requirements

• 15+ years in data engineering, analytics, BI, architecture, or data leadership
• Proven experience building enterprise-grade data platforms
• Experience commercialising external data or intelligence products
• Deep knowledge of modern stacks including GCP, BigQuery, Snowflake, or ClickHouse
• Strong AI, ML Ops, KPI, and executive reporting expertise
• Strong understanding of PDPL/GDPR
• Excellent executive communication and influence skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in ticketing, events, travel, marketplaces, or entertainment tech
• Experience with multi-tenant data products
• Experience delivering market intelligence to enterprise clients
