About the role
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the Finance Data Management strategy, incorporating regulatory requirements for capital, liquidity, and financial reporting.
- Establish and enforce enterprise data governance frameworks, including ownership models, data definitions, and quality policies.
- Build and operationalize data quality and control frameworks to ensure financial reporting accuracy and regulatory integrity.
- Oversee end-to-end financial and regulatory data flows, ensuring seamless integration across GL, sub-ledgers, and planning platforms.
- Enable AI and advanced analytics capabilities on governed data to drive predictive insights and automation.
- Implement and maintain data lineage and metadata management to ensure full transparency and auditability.
- Lead cross-functional teams and serve as a strategic bridge between Finance, Risk, and Technology stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or finance data architecture.
- Strong domain expertise in financial reporting, FP&A, and regulatory reporting (capital, liquidity, stress testing).
- Proven experience implementing enterprise data governance frameworks and supporting audit-driven requirements.
- Proficiency with modern data platforms, including cloud data lakes and Spark-based pipelines.
- Experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Anaplan.
- Proficiency in reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leadership and regulatory stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services or highly regulated industries.
- Deep familiarity with BCBS 239 or equivalent regulatory data frameworks.
- Experience leading finance transformation or regulatory remediation programs.
- Exposure to AI adoption within Finance or Risk environments.
