Director of Credit Strategy

Responsibilities

• Hire, manage, and develop a high-performing team of 4-6 analysts
• Lead monthly executive Credit Performance Review meetings regarding origination and portfolio trends
• Define and manage KPIs for portfolio performance
• Act as an effective challenge for current credit underwriting strategies
• Setup and manage Collections Strategy including outbound call, digital strategies, and 3rd party vendor placements
• Implement A/B and DOE tests for new strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in an analytical or quantitative field (Math, Physics, Engineering, Science, or Computer Science)
• 6+ years of experience in quantitative analysis within financial services, consulting, data science, or risk management
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in risk management, ideally within subprime lending
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and Python
• Proven track record of managing teams of 4+ analysts
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in a quantitative field
• 10+ years of experience in quantitative analysis
• 8+ years of experience in risk management and collections strategy
• Deep understanding of sub-prime credit dynamics
• Experience launching new credit products in sub-prime lending
