Director of Costing Accounting

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable cost accounting strategies to support company growth and IPO readiness
• Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes for cost accounting, inventory, and related reserves
• Own product, system, and service costing methodologies across complex hardware systems and AI infrastructure
• Partner with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to analyze BOMs, yields, labor, overhead, and supplier pricing
• Manage cost allocations for inference workloads, including compute usage, power, cooling, and data center overhead
• Oversee inventory valuation, excess & obsolete analysis, and ensure SOX-compliant controls
• Establish capitalization policies and cost modeling for data center fixed assets

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive cost accounting experience in manufacturing, hardware, or infrastructure-intensive environments
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, inventory accounting, costing methodologies, and fixed assets
• Experience with manufacturing systems and exposure to ERPs such as Oracle or NetSuite
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, and high-ambiguity environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or CMA certification
• 3 to 5 years of Big 4 early career experience
