Director of COO Office, Discretionary Macro & Fixed Income

Responsibilities

• Partner with Rates & FX PMs across Asia-Pacific to translate investment goals into resourcing, capital, and infrastructure plans.
• Drive business management, PM onboarding, and strategic operational execution for the DMFI platform in Asia.
• Analyze desk P&L, risk, liquidity, and balance-sheet usage to recommend actions for capital efficiency.
• Identify and launch new product or market opportunities specific to Asian markets (e.g., CNH/CNY, NDF flows, local government bonds).
• Lead the onboarding of new Macro/Fixed Income PM teams, managing capital allocation, risk limits, and trading-system connectivity.
• Design KPI dashboards and deploy AI/ML-driven analytics to identify patterns in performance and risk.
• Lead cross-functional projects involving operations, treasury, compliance, and technology, including Asia CCP onboarding and FX TCA implementation.
• Manage the vendor lifecycle for trading and analytics platforms, including contract negotiation and SLA governance.

Requirements

• 7-10+ years of business management or COO experience on the buy-side or sell-side fixed income business.
• Deep product knowledge of rates and FX cash & derivatives (government bonds, swaps, futures, options, NDFs, etc.).
• Strong understanding of Asian rate and FX markets (CNH, SGD, KRW, INR, THB, etc.) and local regulatory frameworks (MAS, SFC, HKMA).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and VBA; experience with Python, SQL, or PowerBI is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML tools, LLMs, or automation to business processes and operational workflows.
• Proven ability to negotiate commercial terms with banks, venues, and data providers.
• Exceptional project management skills and the ability to influence stakeholders and present to senior management.
