Director of Construction

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high quality standards
• Implement construction field policies and procedures while developing construction schedules and resource allocation plans
• Manage field operations, production times, and quality control to ensure homes meet company standards for occupancy
• Evaluate subcontractor and vendor performance, including reviewing project budgets, contracts, and change orders
• Recruit, retain, and motivate a high-performing team across all division functions
• Drive cost-effective processes and provide recommendations to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Oversee safety training and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes
• Analyze customer satisfaction trends and implement solutions to improve overall scores

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive construction experience
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations
• Leadership experience in operations, sales, and production
• Proficiency with MS Office and email
• Basic accounting or finance knowledge
• Ability to travel overnight and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• General understanding of the real estate industry
• Previous customer service experience
