Director of Compliance

Responsibilities

• Design, oversee, and monitor the effectiveness of the corporate compliance program
• Chair the Corporate Compliance Committee with cross-functional representation
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and controls to prevent unethical conduct
• Conduct regular risk assessments regarding HIPAA, HITECH, Anti-Kickback Statute, and Stark Law
• Establish and execute an annual compliance work plan including auditing and monitoring
• Develop and report on key compliance metrics and data analytics to senior leadership and the Board
• Oversee the creation and delivery of compliance training for employees and executives
• Manage the company's compliance hotline and reporting channels
• Maintain expert knowledge of the evolving healthcare regulatory landscape

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• 6-10 years of experience in healthcare regulatory and compliance roles
• Experience in a leadership capacity, preferably in Health IT, SaaS, or medical device sectors
• Expert knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, Anti-Kickback Statute, and state/federal data privacy laws
• Proven ability to develop and implement compliance policies and training programs
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) or relevant Master's degree (MBA, MHA)
• Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)
• Experience with FDA regulations for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD)
• Knowledge of ONC Cures Act Final Rule requirements regarding information blocking
