About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for development initiatives and multi-year community impact strategies
- Oversee the lease-up and resident support processes for 372 Livonia
- Manage service providers, property management, and community space programming
- Lead the transition of the Brownsville Community Land Trust (BVCLT) into an independent community-led structure
- Spearhead homeownership preservation initiatives and neighborhood housing plans
- Act as a strategic advisor for capital improvements at the Gregory Jackson Center
- Collaborate with accounting to manage capital funding, grants, and operating budgets
- Oversee administrative records regarding building safety, occupancy, and insurance
Requirements
- 5+ years of affordable housing, mission-oriented real estate, or community development experience
- Knowledge of housing finance
- Experience with NYS, NYC, and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs is a strong asset
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
- Cultural competence working in diverse Black communities
