Director of Community Led Development

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for development initiatives and multi-year community impact strategies
• Oversee the lease-up and resident support processes for 372 Livonia
• Manage service providers, property management, and community space programming
• Lead the transition of the Brownsville Community Land Trust (BVCLT) into an independent community-led structure
• Spearhead homeownership preservation initiatives and neighborhood housing plans
• Act as a strategic advisor for capital improvements at the Gregory Jackson Center
• Collaborate with accounting to manage capital funding, grants, and operating budgets
• Oversee administrative records regarding building safety, occupancy, and insurance

Requirements

• 5+ years of affordable housing, mission-oriented real estate, or community development experience
• Knowledge of housing finance
• Experience with NYS, NYC, and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs is a strong asset
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
• Cultural competence working in diverse Black communities
