Director of Community Engagement

Responsibilities

• Lead the community engagement strategy and drive short- and long-term community affairs initiatives in data center communities
• Manage a team to develop, coordinate, and implement community affairs initiatives to respond to community needs
• Build and enhance external relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including elected officials and staff
• Partner with internal site selection, operations, and public affairs teams to advance infrastructure goals at the local level
• Monitor local community needs and report risks to larger business goals to leadership
• Participate in integrated communications, event, and project planning within the External Affairs team
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 75%)

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience in public affairs, nonprofit management, government relations, economic development, or public-facing engagement
• Bachelor's degree in public relations, communication, external affairs, business, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with nonprofit grants, donations, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) planning
• Strong communication, organizational, and program management skills
• Experience working with local and state policy and legislative processes
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the data center industry
• Background in Public Relations
• Master of Public Administration (MPA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA)
