Director of Cloud Strategy

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of enterprise-wide architecture strategies, standards, and frameworks
• Partner with business units, engineering teams, and client stakeholders to align architecture with business and infrastructure needs
• Provide architecture guidance for solution design, platform integration, and technology selection
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption based on scalability, security, and business value
• Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, reference models, and target-state documentation
• Mentor junior architects and technical team members on design reviews and governance standards

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture
• Experience in large-scale IT system development, design, and implementation
• Proven experience in solution design
• Proficiency with database technologies such as Oracle, DB2, or SQL
• 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, including landing zones and management groups
• Experience using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the financial services industry
• Experience building greenfield solutions in a cloud environment
• Experience with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) High requirements
• Experience designing disaster recovery solutions (hot/hot or hot/warm models)
• Experience presenting architecture options and tradeoffs to executive stakeholders
