About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all direct and indirect patient services provided by clinical personnel
- Guide and counsel coordinators and Clinical Supervisors to improve hospice care delivery
- Assist in managing clinical teams, patient assessment, care planning, and evaluation
- Support budget preparation and administration alongside the Executive Director
- Monitor operational indicators, census changes, and volume to inform staffing and expenses
- Hire, evaluate, and terminate clinical personnel; conduct annual performance reviews
- Maintain patient clinical records, statistics, and reports in compliance with laws
- Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and equipment for patient services
- Develop and implement orientation, in-service, and continuing education programs
- Assure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, CHAP standards, and licensure requirements
- Promote hospice referrals and act as Executive Director in their absence
Requirements
- Registered nurse with current state licensure
- Bachelor's degree in nursing from an NLN-accredited program; Master's in hospice preferred
