Director of Clinical & Experiential Learning

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic vision and leadership for the Law School’s clinical education program
• Oversee curriculum development, student supervision, and community partnerships
• Serve as a clinician in at least one clinical program, teaching courses and providing hands-on legal experience
• Supervise and mentor clinical students with a focus on professional development and biblical discipleship
• Design and develop new clinics to expand experiential learning opportunities
• Ensure all clinics and experiential courses comply with academic, accreditation, and regulatory requirements
• Engage in scholarly research and publication within the field of clinical legal education
• Collaborate with the Director of the Center for Lawyering Skills to administer simulation and field placement courses

Requirements

• J.D. Degree from an ABA accredited law school
• Active law license in a U.S. jurisdiction with the ability to be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• At least six (6) years of combined law practice or clinical teaching experience
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching, student mentorship, and creating a dynamic learning environment
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with faculty, staff, and external partners
• Commitment to a Christian worldview and the mission of Liberty University
