Director of Civil Engineering

Responsibilities

• Direct and implement strategic goals for the civil engineering segment, managing staff, budgets, and technical standards.
• Oversee study, design, and specification for transportation systems, infrastructure, drainage, utilities, and water treatment.
• Supervise and lead a group of engineers, setting technical standards and procedures.
• Manage performance through appraisals, counseling, and involvement in interviewing and hiring.
• Ensure compliance with CE-related inspections, including USAFE/AFIA MICT, UEI, and EMS audits.
• Contribute to business development and identify market trends and new technologies.
• Prepare data for annual USAFE Civil Engineering and Installation Excellence award submissions.

Requirements

• US Citizenship and a valid U.S. Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) license.
• 10 years of industry experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven DoD installation-level working experience.
• Experience in engineering design, construction, maintenance, and civil engineering program administration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
