About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction for a comprehensive, university-wide career development program.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan that aligns with institutional priorities and advances student career readiness, internships, and employment outcomes.
  • Lead and develop the Career Development student team through supervision, coaching, and professional development.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with faculty, academic units, alumni, employers, and community organizations.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of career-related programming, including workshops, courses, and experiential learning opportunities.
  • Provide direct career coaching to students, including vocational discernment, resume preparation, and interview strategies.
  • Establish and monitor assessment practices, such as the annual First Destination Survey, to evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Manage operational resources, including budgeting and technology, to support career development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree in higher education, counseling, or business preferred).
  • 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in career development, student development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in career coaching and program design.
  • Strong relational leadership skills with the ability to build partnerships across campus and with external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, including public speaking and the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission of Christian higher education and the ability to integrate faith and vocation.
