About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, lead, and coordinate career-related activities and services for undergraduate programs and the campus community.
- Facilitate career exploration and job preparation skills through one-on-one counseling and group sessions.
- Cultivate and expand internship and employment opportunities for students and alumni using the Handshake platform.
- Manage the community service and federal work-study programs to ensure students meet financial aid requirements.
- Organize and deliver presentations on career and life planning topics to students and graduates.
- Administer the employment agreement process for graduate student internships.
- Evaluate program effectiveness by analyzing attendance, engagement, and satisfaction metrics.
- Collaborate with faculty and various campus constituencies to increase internship participation and integration.
Requirements
- Master’s degree required.
- 5-7 years of experience working in college career and life planning or a similar field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching in higher education.
- Superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven public speaking skills with the ability to motivate and inspire audiences.
- Strong organizational and program management skills.
- Knowledge of career and student development theory.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
