About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and coordinate career-related activities and services for undergraduate programs and the campus community.
  • Facilitate career exploration and job preparation skills through one-on-one counseling and group sessions.
  • Cultivate and expand internship and employment opportunities for students and alumni using the Handshake platform.
  • Manage the community service work-study program and locate community placements to meet financial aid requirements.
  • Organize and deliver presentations on career and life planning topics to students and graduates.
  • Administer the employment agreement process for graduate student internships.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness by analyzing attendance, engagement, and satisfaction metrics.
  • Collaborate with faculty and various campus constituencies to increase internship participation and integration.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required.
  • 5-7 years of experience working in college career and life planning or a similar field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching in higher education.
  • Superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with campus and off-campus stakeholders.
  • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to motivate and inspire audiences.
  • Strong organizational and program management skills.
  • Knowledge of career and student development theory.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
