About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, lead, and coordinate career-related activities and services for undergraduate programs and the campus community.
- Facilitate career exploration and job preparation skills through group sessions and one-on-one counseling.
- Cultivate and expand internship and employment opportunities, aiming for a 10% annual increase in undergraduate participation.
- Manage and expand the database of opportunities on the Handshake platform to increase utilization rates.
- Oversee the community service work-study program and ensure students meet financial aid requirements.
- Administer the employment agreement process for graduate student internships.
- Organize and deliver presentations on career and life planning topics and evaluate their impact.
- Collect and disseminate information regarding career development, study abroad, and community service via various media.
Requirements
- Master's degree required.
- 5-7 years of experience working in college career and life planning or a similar field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching in higher education.
- Superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to develop collaborative relationships with campus and off-campus constituencies.
- Strong public speaking, organizational, and program management skills.
- Knowledge of career and student development theory.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
