About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, lead, and coordinate career-related activities and services for undergraduate programs and the campus community.
- Facilitate career exploration and job preparation skills through group sessions and one-on-one counseling.
- Cultivate internship and employment opportunities, aiming to increase undergraduate participation by 10% annually.
- Manage and expand the database of opportunities on the Handshake platform to increase utilization rates.
- Oversee the community service and federal work-study programs, ensuring students meet financial aid requirements.
- Administer the employment agreement process for graduate student internships.
- Organize and deliver presentations on career and life planning topics and evaluate their impact through metrics.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external community partners to integrate career services across the college.
Requirements
- Master’s degree required.
- 5-7 years of experience working in college career and life planning or a similar field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching in higher education.
- Strong knowledge of career and student development theory.
- Superior interpersonal, public speaking, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with campus and off-campus constituencies.
- Strong organizational and program management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
