Director of Buying - Men's

Responsibilities

• Drive assortment strategy by developing buying strategies that align with customer preferences and seasonal trends.
• Conduct trend forecasting through market research, runway analysis, and social media monitoring to ensure a competitive product mix.
• Lead cost negotiations with suppliers to optimize margins and secure best-in-class cost structures.
• Manage financial performance, including weekly sales, open-to-buy budgets, pricing, and inventory levels.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, replenishment, planning, and creative teams to ensure timely deliveries and cohesive launches.
• Utilize data-driven insights from sales performance and customer reviews to optimize product assortments.
• Lead weekly open-to-buy meetings and mentor the buying team to achieve financial and product goals.
• Develop and maintain profitable, productive partnerships with vendors.

Requirements

• 15+ years of Apparel Buying/Merchandising experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in a Buying Management role, ideally within the men's category.
• BFA or BA in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience with product development.
• A keen eye for design, trends, and color.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work onsite during core business hours (Monday – Friday).
