About the Company

In Common With is a design studio defining a new vocabulary for interiors, where old-world craft meets at-scale manufacturing. In 2024, they opened Quarters, a hybrid retail and hospitality destination in Tribeca. The organization is expanding product categories, increasing operational complexity, and preparing for geographic expansion.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the company’s operating cadence, including quarterly planning and performance tracking
• Translate strategic priorities into coordinated execution plans across departments
• Define People & Culture strategy, including organizational design and workforce planning
• Own the strategy and governance of core business systems and operational infrastructure
• Direct the IT team regarding hardware, network infrastructure, and SaaS licensing
• Project manage complex initiatives requiring coordination across multiple departments
• Identify and resolve operational gaps and friction points between teams
• Provide strategic oversight of studio, retail, and event environments for compliance and safety
• Manage legal contracts, trademarks, and IP in partnership with outside counsel
• Develop contingency plans for operational disruptions and business continuity

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in business operations, strategic operations, or management consulting
• Experience working closely with founders or executive leadership in a growing organization
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives
• Strong analytical capability and financial literacy
• Experience designing and implementing scalable processes or operational systems
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Asana
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in design-led, product-based, retail, manufacturing, or hospitality industries
• Familiarity with physical product company dynamics (inventory, product cycles)
• Experience with ERP, CRM, PLM, or EDI systems
• Background in supporting organizational growth through market entry or category expansion
• Ability to thrive in creative, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments
