Director of Business Development

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, shape, capture, and grow government business opportunities aligned with strategic priorities
• Build and maintain relationships with the DoD, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Air Force, and Intelligence Community
• Develop customer engagement strategies, account plans, and capture plans
• Lead opportunities from early engagement through proposal development and contract award
• Coordinate responses to RFIs, RFPs, BAAs, and other government solicitations
• Partner with engineering, finance, and leadership to develop technically credible solutions
• Represent the company in customer meetings, executive briefings, and industry conferences
• Identify and develop strategic partnerships and teaming arrangements with prime contractors
• Monitor government budgets, acquisition activity, and market trends

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Public Policy, International Affairs, or National Security
• 7+ years of experience in government business development or capture management
• Experience working with the DoD, U.S. Space Force, or Intelligence Community
• Demonstrated experience identifying and capturing government business opportunities
• Strong understanding of government acquisition, budgeting, and procurement processes
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or space sectors
• Proven success leading government captures and contract awards
• Experience with acquisition pathways such as OTAs, SBIR/STTR, BAAs, or IDIQs
• Experience with complex aerospace, spacecraft, or defense hardware/software systems
