About the role

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop business development team members across multiple offices and practices
  • Develop and implement firmwide and practice-specific business development strategies aligned with firm goals
  • Partner with practice group leaders and firm leadership to identify market opportunities and competitive positioning
  • Lead strategic planning sessions with attorneys to establish measurable growth objectives
  • Drive cross-selling initiatives and collaboration among various offices and practice areas
  • Lead strategy on high-value pitch opportunities, RFP responses, presentations, and proposals
  • Establish KPIs, reporting structures, and accountability measures for all business development initiatives
  • Utilize CRM and business development technologies to track opportunities and client engagement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of business development, marketing, or client development experience
  • Experience within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Proven leadership and team management experience across a hybrid, multi-office environment
  • Strong understanding of the legal industry and attorney partnership structures
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, proposal management, and data-driven reporting tools
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
