Director of Business Applications

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic direction and vision for enterprise business software in collaboration with the Associate Vice President of Technology.
• Manage the application lifecycle for ERP/SIS and related applications, including business analytics and reporting.
• Oversee software development and integration projects to support the university's mission.
• Maintain, manage, and secure student and business systems such as Jenzabar CX/Ellucian Banner, Cognos, Canvas LMS, and AdAstra.
• Create and manage project schedules, scopes, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Ensure project deliverables are timely, secure, within budget, and user-friendly.
• Oversee security and compliance related to PCI and enterprise information security for business applications.
• Supervise and train employees and student workers, including performance appraisals and workload direction.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to meet project requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Information Technology sector.
• Proven experience in managing enterprise business software projects.
• Knowledge of information security practices and accessibility compliance.
• Proficiency with Windows and Macintosh operating systems and applications.
• Demonstrated ability to uphold the University’s Christ-centered mission and values.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with specific higher education systems like Jenzabar CX, Ellucian Banner, or Canvas LMS.
