Director of Basketball Operations (MBB)

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize all team travel, including booking flights, hotels, ground transportation, and meals for coaches, staff, and students.
• Coordinate student-athlete academic development by tracking class attendance and planning study table and tutor appointments.
• Manage program logistics, including budget oversight, expense reimbursements, and adherence to University business policies.
• Serve as a liaison between the head coach and internal/external University communities, including conference offices and alumni.
• Oversee the recruitment and management of student managers and work-study students.
• Develop and implement social media guidelines and manage marketing and community outreach activities.
• Arrange and coordinate housing needs for student-athletes for Fall, Spring, and Summer terms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Two (2) years of related basketball experience (playing, coaching, or basketball operations).
• Valid driver's license and eligibility to drive for University business.
• Proficiency in social media and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and extensive national and international travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of NCAA, West Coast Conference (WCC), and University regulations.
• Experience with basketball recruiting and large-group travel coordination.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet critical deadlines.
• Experience working with diverse backgrounds and a commitment to advancing equity and inclusion.
• Basic understanding of budget oversight and control.
