Director of Analytics Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Game Insight team, managing managers and senior individual contributors
• Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Analytic Engineering within the Game Insight organization
• Partner with Data Products and Data Platform leadership to align the company's data strategy and investments
• Build a high-performing organization through hiring, coaching, and organizational design
• Own the quality, consistency, and scalability of analytical data products, business metrics, and semantic layers
• Drive standardization of analytical foundations and metric definitions across games
• Represent Analytic Engineering in strategic planning and executive discussions

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence leadership
• 5+ years of experience managing and developing analytics or engineering teams
• Experience leading managers and building high-performing organizations
• Strong understanding of data modeling, metric design, semantic layers, testing, and governance
• Experience with BigQuery, DBT, Looker, Airflow, or equivalent platforms
• Proven ability to define strategy and influence stakeholders
• Full on-site presence in the Barcelona office (5 days per week)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in gaming, mobile products, or free-to-play business models
• Familiarity with game analytics (player behavior, economy, monetization, live operations)
• Experience working with high-scale event data and large data volumes
• Experience partnering with product analytics, data science, or machine learning teams
