Director of AI and Legal Technology

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and guide practical AI use cases to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Recommend KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools to measure AI adoption and ROI
• Support evaluation, selection, migration, and optimization of CRM/case management platforms
• Improve data quality and KPI reporting for leadership visibility
• Build or coordinate automations and improve system integrations
• Train the team and create documentation to drive technology adoption
• Partner with the existing IT team to clarify roles and project ownership
• Create responsible AI and technology standards to protect confidentiality and compliance
• Use technology to improve client communication and service consistency

Requirements

• Experience leading AI, legal technology, automation, or workflow improvement initiatives
• Strong understanding of law firm operations or compliance-driven professional services
• Ability to map workflows and implement practical solutions
• Strong data and KPI mindset with experience in dashboard creation
• Experience supporting technology implementation or system migration
• Strong communication skills for working with attorneys, staff, and vendors
• Collaborative leadership style with ability to coach and delegate
• Ability to manage change and drive team adoption
• Sound judgment regarding data privacy, legal ethics, and responsible AI
• Highly organized and proactive project ownership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a plaintiff-side or disability law firm environment
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Filevine, Prevail, Clio, Litify, or SmartAdvocate
• Experience evaluating technology using decision matrices and business requirements
• Experience with workflow automation, APIs, no-code tools, or CRM integrations
• Experience creating AI policies and technology governance standards
