Director of Advancement Services

Responsibilities

• Manage all Advancement service operations, including database maintenance, gift management, and record management.
• Serve as the primary database administrator, ensuring data hygiene, privacy, and security measures are maintained.
• Oversee gift processing, receipting, and reconciliation in coordination with the Finance office.
• Create and distribute departmental reports, dashboards, and mail/email lists for communications and solicitations.
• Develop and refine prospect rating strategies and research systems to support Major Gift and Annual Giving portfolios.
• Train Advancement staff on database usage, reporting, and prospect management procedures.
• Ensure compliance with CASE, IRS, and internal NEC gift and reporting policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 5-7 years of related experience in advancement or database management.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with Raiser's Edge, Banner, or similar database systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office products, specifically Excel.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree.
• Knowledge of Argos or similar reporting tools.
• Familiarity with querying tools.
