About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the chief non-physician executive for the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (ENT).
- Develop and implement short and long-range management, organizational, operational, and financial plans.
- Oversee all departmental administrative functions, including finance, human resources, and operations.
- Manage the annual budget process, financial strategies, internal reporting, and audit controls.
- Recommend and oversee faculty salary, production, and incentive systems in coordination with the Department Chair.
- Monitor clinical in-patient and out-patient care volumes to enhance quality and efficiency of care delivery.
- Support the recruitment of faculty and clinical staff to ensure departmental growth and stability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 8 years of progressively responsible professional experience, preferably in healthcare, government, or a university environment.
- 3 years of experience in a managerial capacity.
- 5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong human relations, communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and influence others within a unionized environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
