Director of Administration

Responsibilities

• Serve as the chief non-physician executive for the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (ENT).
• Develop and implement short and long-range management, organizational, operational, and financial plans.
• Oversee all departmental administrative functions, including finance, human resources, and operations.
• Manage the annual budget process, financial strategies, internal reporting, and audit controls.
• Recommend and oversee faculty salary, production, and incentive systems in coordination with the Department Chair.
• Monitor clinical in-patient and out-patient care volumes to enhance quality and efficiency of care delivery.
• Support the recruitment of faculty and clinical staff to ensure departmental growth and stability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 8 years of progressively responsible professional experience, preferably in healthcare, government, or a university environment.
• 3 years of experience in a managerial capacity.
• 5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong human relations, communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and influence others within a unionized environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
