About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management and ongoing development of the Madrid office
- Establish and implement efficient processes, systems, and workflows aligned with firmwide standards
- Oversee all aspects of HR, including payroll, benefits, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations
- Ensure compliance with Spanish employment law and local regulatory requirements
- Manage the office budget and establish local vendor relationships
- Oversee office space, facilities, and workplace needs, including support for office expansion
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within legal or professional services
- Proven experience in setting up or scaling operations, ideally in a new market entry environment
- Strong knowledge of Spanish employment law and local business practices
- Fluent in both Spanish and English
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and able to manage ambiguity and change
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and professional communication skills
