Director of Accounting & LGUS Shared Services

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-location shared services organization of approximately 150 employees and seven direct reports.
• Provide strategic direction, coaching, and performance management to foster a high-performance culture.
• Oversee general ledger, payroll, benefits accounting, customer financial services, collections, and regional accounting functions.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, sales and use tax, and property tax while supporting audit readiness.
• Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement to enhance scalability and reduce risk.
• Partner with senior leaders across Finance, Tax, Operations, and IT to support enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to promote accountability and transparency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or shared services.
• Proven leadership experience managing large, multi-functional teams within complex, matrixed organizations.
• Deep expertise in accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and close processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and implement automation.
• Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and regulatory requirements.
